LONG SHOT

Rating: CTC
Cast: Charlize Theron, Seth Rogen, June Diane Raphael

An hilarious and heartwarming comedy from the people that brought us KNOCKED UP and BAD NEIGHBOURS.

LONG SHOT starring Seth Rogan (Bad Neighbors, Knocked Up) and Charlize Theron (Tully, Atomic Blonde) and a stellar supporting cast including Andy Serkis (Planet of the Apes franchise, Black Panther), Bob Odenkirk (You Better Call Saul), O’Shea Jackson Jr (Straight Outta Compton, Den of Thieves), June Diane Raphael (Blockers, Grace and Frankie) and Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies, True Blood)

Charlotte Field (Charlize Theron) is one of the most influential women in the world. Smart, sophisticated, and accomplished, she’s a powerhouse diplomat with a talent for…well, mostly everything. Fred Flarsky (Seth Rogen) is a gifted and free spirited journalist with a self-destructive streak. The two have nothing in common, except that she was his baby sitter and first crush. When Fred unexpectedly reunites with Charlotte, he charms her with his self-deprecating humour and his memories of her youthful idealism. As she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, Charlotte impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter, much to the dismay of her trusted advisors.
A fish out of water on Charlotte’s elite team, Fred is unprepared for her glamourous and high stakes lifestyle. However, sparks fly as their unmistakable chemistry leads to a round-the-world romance that becomes embroiled in a series of dangerous and outlandish incidents.

“With a giddy irreverence and a cavalcade of stupendous comedic performers, Long Shot is outrageously funny.” THE GUARDIAN.

“Even with a completely unrealistic premise, and a handful of trope problems, Long Shot is still charming enough to bring the laughs, the escapism, and the twitterpation that any great romantic comedy can provide.” THE WRAP.

“It’s been a long time since there’s been a rom-com with two stars as straight-up likable and easy to root for as Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron are here.” ROGEREBERT.COM

“Very funny whatever you think of its more old-fashioned notions, the picture will charm many viewers who can set implausibility aside for a while.” HOLLYWOOD REPORTER,
